Is there any thing in LTE that is equivalent to Coreset ?

Yes, in LTE (Long-Term Evolution), the equivalent concept to a CoreSet in 5G is the Control Region of the LTE frame, specifically designated for the Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH). The PDCCH in LTE carries the downlink control information (DCI), which includes scheduling assignments for user equipment (UE) for both the downlink and uplink. This control region is located at the beginning of the LTE subframe and can occupy the first one to three OFDM symbols in the subframe, depending on the network configuration. While LTE's control region and PDCCH serve a similar purpose to the CoreSet and PDCCH in 5G, the 5G CoreSet offers more flexibility and efficiency, reflecting the evolution of control channel mechanisms to support the enhanced capabilities of 5G networks.
